Pull
Set up: player 1 is a straight/flat mark and players 2 and 3 are clogging the lane, forcing the thrower to swing the disc. Players 4 5 and 6 are guarding the biggest threat for over the top throws and 7 is deep deep
When it gets swung to a sideline, we trap them. Player 1 is still a mark forcing line. Player 3 is preventing the inside break and player 2 is preventing the around break. Player 6 takes away the sideline option and players 4 and 5 shift down to help take away the insides.
The Trap is only allowing vertical throws either up field or down field for a dump.
IF the dump is thrown, player 2 is responsible for containing and preventing the full field swing. Player 3 shifts over and briefly takes away the easy reset throw and player 1 shifts down to mark again. Down field defense stays with the biggest threat.
If the full field swing does go up, it is important for the trap to stay together as they reset on the other side. Down field D shifts over to contain. Notice how the 2 and 3 on red can switch positions.
If it gets swung to the middle, we reset to a flat/straight up mark.
Set up the trap again
Crashes are handled by player 3. Note that it is crucial for players 4 and 5 to help contain while 3 goes in.
As they clear out, we regroup. Noticed how player 4 has to be responsible for Blue 5 and Blue 2? They can bait that full field swing through the cup and get a lay out D!
