The disc is checked-in in the middle of the field close to the endzone. The reset handler sets up on the brake side. The initial look in our endzone set with the disc in the middle is off the front of the stack.
The front of the stack makes a cut to either the break side or the open side. This is an isolation cut and the handler is only looking at the front of the stack for the first couple of stall counts.
If the front of the stack cuts open side initially then they either clear back into the stack, or, like in the case shown, cut to the break side for another cut. The back of the stack realizes what is going on and begins to set up their cut.
