Step by step 11 steps
  1. Step 1

The Ho Stack is a dynamic offense that can be implemented infinite ways within our principles. The cones here designate the active space and the dead space. Here are a few examples of how movement works.

  2. Step 2

Example A: #3 makes an active in cut to the break side. #2 makes a legitimate. deep cut. #1 starts inching deep to set up a cut and make sure their defender is paying attention. #4 stays inactive for now. If the throw doesn't go up, the four cutters can cycle as needed.

  3. Step 3

#3 gets the in-cut. #2 continues their cut and is now the active cutter. #1 shifts from inactive to active space now that there is only 1 active cutter. #4 moves downfield and stays in the inactive space. One handler goes downfield

  4. Step 4

#2 is now in position for the in-cut with #1 working off of him. The inactive cutters have to communicate to know which one will enter the active space. In this case, #4 is better positioned.

  5. Step 5

#2 has #1 coming under or #4 going deep. Here he's able to get off a break huck to #4. #6's movement did a good job keeping his defender away.

  6. Step 6

    Bingo

  7. Step 7

(RESET) Example B: #3 has a wide open under cut. What should happen now?

  8. Step 8

#4 is probably a better option to be active. #1 is pretty far from the action and would have to cross the path of #2 to get involved. So #4 moves downfield to be in the next layer

  9. Step 9

#2 cuts under but gets pumped off. #4 makes the next active cut. #2 calls himself out and #1 becomes active.

  10. Step 10

Pump Fake. Note how quickly the original inactive cutters at in the middle now.

  11. Step 11

Reset to a handler. #4 clears out to the force side. #1 is the main cutter and #2 creates the 2nd layer. The whole process repeats itself
