So your opponents throw a box zone at you, what do you do?
Okay, if you can't throw a fastball, overhead, or don't pivot enough, then you're fucked. Don't be that player. Here's what the cutters do:
4 and 5 stretch their deep. There's acres of space left for just 1 marker, and no matter how athletic (s)he is, there's no way you can cover all of that Also, that gives #3 all the space in the underbelly of the zone, just behind the cup. From there on, hammer is always on, or anything above/around the cup, but not too floaty. #3 in the meantime has two options - attack the gap between their 2 and 3 or their 3 and 4. ATTACK DOES NOT NECESSARY MEAN CRASH THE CUP. Sometimes it's just running onto a disc that your handler will put into any of these gaps (it might also go directly above their #3's head, but let's hope not), sometimes it's literally just standing still.
Assume this didn't work. Now you can crash the cup at your discretion, but the idea is to support that with one of the two players gone deep (most often open-side, #4 in that case, (s)he is so wide open) to provide option in the other gap (here - the sideline gap between 3 and 4). the remaining cutter stays deep to take their #5 out of the game (and should shout their lungs off if that player takes off to help their cup).
Assume their zone works like a clock. You still have a dump, USE IT. The dump should stand 5-10 meters behind so the throw, whether it's backhand or forehand, is not too slow and wobbly - add a little bit of speed to that one. Support this with movement of #4 further back to our endzone along the sideline, number 1 jumping the other side to provide one more option sideways, three ideally goes breakside mid-distance, #5 who was chilling now cuts under at roughly 45, taking their deep with them (now number #3 should be looking to go long themselves)
If you take no swings, #5 keeps going back, while 3 and 4 are going towards opponent's endzone. 1 repositions himself directly behind the person with the disc. Rinse, repeat, wait for the zone to give a leak or their deep to succumb to reality (GET IT PAST THE CUP AND HE'S TOAST).
Taking no prisoners from here on :)
Attack the gaps
Crash the cup (BUT NEVER STAY THERE FOR MORE THAN HALF SECOND: if you don't get it by the moment you're there, you're not getting it this stall count and now you actually congest the throwing lanes)
Assume 5 baits the cut across just behind the cup - the endzone is yours to attack as soon as he starts moving forward
GOOOOOOOL!
