Horo set up with Blue 1-2-3 handlers, 4-5-6-7 cutters with 5 red symbolic force. Cutting in the horizontal stack requires the principle of "active" and "inactive pairs". With the disc in this set up, centered, the active pair is the pair of cutters in front of the disc ie 5 + 6. 5 + 6 cut in a peppermill pattern to get free, mirroring each other.
One player will be the "initiator", they will cut in one direction and the other cutter will mirror. eg 5 cuts break, 6 mirrors cuts deep.
Then 6 cuts back under as 5 cuts deep. This is the basic cutting pattern essential to the offense. 4 + 7 are inactive so they should stay still. 6 gets the disc
What happens now? We have 1-2-3 back and 4-6-5-7 not in a stack. The stack should be disciplined in a way that allows 4 downfield cutters and three upfield handlers. 7 has pushed in to the centre of cutter stack allow a clearing lane for 3. 4+5 time their cuts as the next active pair
1+ 2 join 6 as handler trio. 4 attacks under, 5 clears deep.
Swing to 2. 5 clears as an inactive cutter. 7 cuts under, 3 deep.
3 gets the disc as 7 attacks deep. This time 4, 5 and 1 clear into the downfield cutter stack
The ho-stack is reset and play would continue with 4+7 active pair.
