Step by step 21 steps
  1. Step 1

first step it to identify the type of zone, our first strategy is almost always going to be to chisel and see how the defense adjusts

  2. Step 2

to chisel, the middle handler without the disc, sets up on the force side, back behind the cup, right when we get the disc and are ready to throw, the chiseling handler runs towards the disc

  3. Step 3

we are looking to throw a free throw and let the chiseling player's moment carry them for yards and also towards the breakside slightly, we don't want to just inch our way towards the force sideline because the chisel cut too straight up the field again and again

  4. Step 4

from here, if the defense is very out of position, #2 could look for #3, #5, or #6, but know that it is not necessary if the defense isn't challenging the chisels (only punish teams that get out of position challenging the chisel)

    12345671234567
  5. Step 5

the middle handler without the disc circles back to the force side and behind again to setup another chisel, pay attention to how the defense reacts to this one

    12345671234567
  6. Step 6

#4 on defense pinches in to try and stop the chisel, they don't succeed but it shows what they will try to do next time

    12345671234567
  7. Step 7

the middle handler without the disc goes back to the force side and behind again (notice how we've gained yards with 2 easy throws)

    12345671234567
  8. Step 8

this time, when we chisel, #4 comes harder and quicker, the thrower should give a small fake and the chiseling cutter needs to carry all the way deep into the cup, pulling #4 out of position

    12345671234567
  9. Step 9

now we hit out wing handler in the open throwing lane

    12345671234567
  10. Step 10

from here, we have a 3 on 1 or 2, if our popper on the right side (#6) and the deep stretch (#7) work together, the wing defender can't cover both and we should jail break down the field

    12345671234567
  11. Step 11

once we've gotten behind the defense, we need to push our advantage, look to move the disc across the field behind the cup, as well as down

    12345671234567
  12. Step 12

if we get stuck, it's okay we have 2 middle handlers to reset the disc too, and we can start over

    12345671234567
  13. Step 13

set the same motion back up, look for the chisel

    12345671234567
  14. Step 14

can do it all the same, doesn't matter if it's a handler or cutter with the disc

    12345671234567
  15. Step 15

some teams might try and use other methods to take away the chisel

    12345671234567
  16. Step 16

such as the mark circling, but identify how their defense is adjusting, and take advantage of that, if the mark circles, look for the throwing lane that they are leaving

    12345671234567
  17. Step 17

notice the deep stretch following the disc to be a continuation threat

    12345671234567
  18. Step 18

    split and score
