Red on D. Blue on O. Pull goes up.
Blue gets into a standard "Ho" (horizontal) stack. 3 handlers back, with 4 cutters downfield in a straight line across the field.
FIRST CUT. Also called the "initiation" cut. This comes from one of the two cutters in the middle. In this case, we'll have 6 cut first. 6 starts by setting up their cut deep, planning to make an under cut (a cut towards the handlers). Meanwhile - 4 and 7 (the "wing" cutters) are standing still and waiting. They are letting the play develop before beginning their own cuts.
As 6 finishes their cut by coming under, 5 sets up their cut. 4 and 7 are still waiting to make their cuts.
6 doesn't get the disc so they clear to the nearest sideline. This opens up the middle of the field. 5 now has more space to cut , and makes an under cut towards the handlers. NOW 4 and 7 start to get active. As 6 clears, 7 begins to move slightly into the middle of the field to prepare to cut.
5 doesn't get the disc, and clears to the sideline. This opens up the middle even more, and 7 now has the entire middle of the field to work work to make an under cut. 4 - who had still been waiting and watching the play develop - is now preparing to make their cut, just like 7 did.
7 finishes their cut by coming under. 4 times up a cut off of 7, and 5 and 6 are now the ones waiting on the sideline to time up their own cuts to fill the space.
And the cycle continues. This time 6 makes a bigger deep cut from the sideline, doesn't get it, and comes back under to the opposite sidelines. 5 fills the open space with a cut.
5 gets the disc.
