So the basic concept is that the middle of the field is live space and the sides are dead space. The basic cutting pattern for each down field cutter is the same.
Follow the play deep on the sideline.
Cut deep hard, slightly in to the middle of the field.
Watch for a pump fake OR if you don't think the cut is on anymore, then sharp turn and come under for an easy big gainer.
After either receiving a pass OR pumped faked again OR you are too close to the handlers (10 metres or so) Clear to the sideline.
Again, follow the play, i.e get low and move up the field early, you aren't cutting as such but you still need to be running hard, walking won't do you any favours here. The biggest mistake with this offense most players will make at first is not running hard enough during this phase.
Burn deep. slightly into the middle.
if pump faked or the opportunity passes, turn and cut hard under.
And clear out.
