Positions: 1 is the mark. 2-3-4 is the front wall. 5 and 6 are the wings. 7 is the deep
The mark forces to the closer sideline. If in doubt, continue forcing the previous direction
On a swing, the close wing collapses to take away contiunation. They will be the top point of the trap. The farthest wall will drop back into coverage like a wing.
The "Hug" trap is on both sidelines:
The mark forces upfield/no dump. The inside player in the wall takes away sideways/backwards dumps. The middle player takes away the crossfield swing. The wide player takes away the downfield throws. The wings can pinch in to fill the gaps on either side of #3 (mid-wall)
The trap adjusts to handler movement: the mark should always be taking away the easiest backwards dump, the inside wall taking away the backwards swing, and the middle wall taking away the cross-field swing or crashers
If the trap gets broken, fall back into the wall:
Front wall and the wide wing contain the continuation while the mark closes in
Back in formation
Wall reacts to crashers, Wings cover the backfield
A swing to the other sideline: hug!
Same structure for either sideline
Close off the resets
Mid take down forced thows!
