When the disc is centered, we want the dump, player 2, to be positioned about 5-7 meters diagonally behind the disc on the OPEN SIDE. To get the dump to 2, there are two options. The first option is the "dishy" cut, where 2 runs behind the player with the disc(1) and just gets a short dump. When this happens we want player 2 to use their momentum to get past the dumper and be able to get a quick throw up to the ACE for a continue on the break side.
2 goes for the dishy cut and gets the disc, the ACE (3) recgonizes the dishy cut is happening and times a cut to the breakside to continue the around break.
This is option one and the ideal situation. We want to break around in the vertical stack and the dishy cut is a great strategy in doing so. As the offense continues, the last cutter in the stack will set up a cut on the break side for the ACE.
