Step by step 16 steps
  1. Step 1

SEMI AGRESSIVE - puppy fence. Here defense have set up in a starndad puppy fence, this is likely the most common zone in BUML. Force is right handed forehand. Now without animation, let's look at the field. the poppers are covered, the breakside handler is a tough throw, the deep has two people to mark, but number 6 would be tough to hit, so the deep edges towards 7. the open side handler is the only player completely open, that is the point of the force.

  2. Step 2

But the open side handler has heaps of room, to push downfield. how aggressive you want to go is up to you, but sometimes this pass can make as much as 10 metres downfield.

  3. Step 3

As the defense shifts, the middle handler sets up behind the thrower, AND NOT TOO CLOSE.

  4. Step 4

If defense have set up well, they will have the mark covering the dump and the fence come right around to block the break throw. when played well, this can be tough to get out of which is why I suggest the open side handler have a strong breakthrow. Good popping can also break up the fence a bit, but it's hard to show that here.

  5. Step 5

The thrower dumps it with a break throw, and the dump should swing it without even looking downfield, as he/she isn't in the best position to hit downfield. Bare in mind if the zone isn't as good, then there will be times when attacking downfield from the middle is a perfectly good option.

  6. Step 6

And this pattern can repeat and notice how we are making ground up field.

  7. Step 7

It's worth pointing out that at any point if a popper get's open or a deep is left unguarded, that we are still looking to take advantage of that.

  8. Step 8

    Such as number 5 here.

  9. Step 9

  10. Step 10

Let's reset it back a bit.

    12345671234567
  11. Step 11

AGGRESSIVE ZONE - puppy fence. If a handler get's an opportunity - usually connected with good popper movement, to break through the fence, this is the perfect time, for handlers to play full Aggressive offense, If the offense can keep the disc ahead of the fence, then they will not be able to stop the flow.

    12345671234567
  12. Step 12

Now AS SOON as the fence has been broken, handlers should look to put themselves ahead of the fence.

  14. Step 14

  15. Step 15

And as you can see the whole field opens up and heaps of options become available, I just chose one.

  16. Step 16

    easy score.
