Basic force flick middle setup not to scale. Stack should be set 10-15 yrds away from disc depending on wind conditions. Set closer if fighting wind.
1st Look: If a inside break throw or open up field cutter is not open, Player #2 turns completely around and initiates Player#1's reset motion: 1. Up field cut or 2. Drag cut (behind handler, immediately looking for breakside swing to #3) .
2nd Look: In the case Player #1 fails to reset, Player #2 turns/faces up field and initiates Player #3's reset motion: 1. Inside break (Horizontal breakside cut), 2. Rail cut on breakside of Player #2, or 3. After checking for incoming cutters, a strike cut up field. Note that cuts should attempt to reciprocate Player #1 cutting direction (i.e. - If Player #1 cuts up field, then Player #3 cuts breakside. ) Also, when setter finishes a cut without receiving the disc, they clear to the stack or set the stack again.
3rd Look: Huck it deep to a cutter
Generally, when a non-huck reset happens, the thrower becomes the reset for the receiving player, while the other player clears. Good habit is to communicate, even if it is obvious, to decide who is going to stay back and reset the disc.
Breakside Reset: Stack becomes angled toward middle of the field with the front of the stack toward the breakside sideline. Player #1 can set up horizontally, but also can angle a little.
1st Look: If a inside break throw or open up field cutter is not open, Player #2 turns and initiates Player#1's reset motion: 1. Slightly dropping back (Poachy defender) 2. Run a rail cut into open space. 3. Can strike against the force to surprise the defense and allow Player #3 to fill open side.
2nd Look: Again, In the case Player #1 fails to reset, Player #2 turns/faces up field and initiates Player #3's reset motion: 1. Inside break (Horizontal breakside cut), 2. Slight in cut to fill for Player #3, as shown.
3rd Look: You guessed it, boost it!
Open Side Reset: Stack stays in the middle, but is adjusted toward the open sideline and can be slightly angled to allow more space. Player# 1 should set up horizontally for the reset.
1st Look: If a inside break throw or open up field cutter is not open, Player #2 turns and initiates Player#1's reset motion: 1. Slightly dropping back (Poachy defender) 2. Run a rail cut into breakside space, as shown. 3. strike upline. Cake!
2nd Look: Again, In the case Player #1 fails to reset, Player #2 turns/faces up field and initiates Player #3's reset motion: 1. YUP, Inside break (Horizontal breakside cut), 2. Fill in by dropping back when Player # runs a strike. 3. After looking for incoming cuts, strike upline yourself, as shown.
3rd Look: Aliens...
