Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

2 is trapped on sideline. 1 is waiting for 2 to either throw the disc to space for a swing or for a pump fake. 1 is NOT making a cut backfield before the throw goes up. When 2 gives a pump fake backfield toward player 1, player 1 then cuts upfield(Option 2 or O2).

  2. Step 2

2 pumps a fake at 1. This is a communication to 1 to clear up field for an O2 cut.

  3. Step 3

1 cuts O2, doesn't get it, the ACE (3) cuts backfield for the dump swing

  4. Step 4

2 swings to 3, 6 sets up his cut for 3 to get the disc

  5. Step 5

6 cuts under for 3, 5 is setting up to cut for 6

  6. Step 6

6 gets the disc, looks for five, in this case, another under

  7. Step 7

    5 cuts under for 6

  8. Step 8

6 throws to 5, as 4 sees five is going to get the next pass(or likely to anyway), 4 sets up a cut to continue from 5

  9. Step 9

4 receives disc from 5. As these continuation passes are being made, it is essential that cutters in the stack continue to push up the field as the disc is moving up the field. It is also essential that handlers are doing the same so they can receive the dump once upfield continuations stall.

  10. Step 10

At this point, we need to get into endzone offense, the stack being just one of many different ways to run an endzone offense. Once 4 gets rid of the disc, we'd like for 1 to cycle back in as a handler once an opportunity presents itself for 1 to get back into the mix(which pretty much means make a cut toward the backfield breakside or open side and just stay back). More on endzone later.
