Step 1

This is another variation of the middle play we run. It runs through the same horizontal set that most of our plays will have. As the pull comes down it will be centered to the middle handler.

Step 2

Cutter #2 will make the same cut as the standard middle play where they cut out to convince the defender that they are about to strike deep.

Step 3

As cutter #2 is about to cut back, cutter #3 will fill in the second cutting lane to convince the other team we are running a middle cut.

Step 4

Instead of catching the under in the third cutting lane, cutter #2 will cut back and go deep (hence the lightning bolt) and the handler will hit them deep.
