Step 1

Step 2

while stopping the lanes, 2 and 3 needs to react quickly when the swing to the side is about to happen.. 2 will go on force, 1 will be in the lane and 3 will be between the two handlers, all marking the AREA.. 4 will be wary for continuation thru the middle, short deep nearer to the disc side will move back for expected long down the lines, short deep on the other side can push up a little to help 4 for any throw thru the middle... 7 adjust nearer towards the disc

Step 3

swing goes back to the middle and the zone reforms back to step #1, xmas tree/arrow head.. 7 moves back to middle

Step 4

when a short swing happens and still in the middle 75% of the field, 2 and 3 does not go on the force, their job is to stop any pass thru or elevated swing from handlers.. 1 will continue forcing.. 6 will drop slightly because of the disc nearer to his side and 5 will centralize for any throws past 4 or overheads.

Step 5

swing to sideline, 3 will put on the force.. it will be a mirror image of step #2, same rule applies for no down the line on the force. short deeps will shift accordingly to where offence and disc are.

Step 6

when zone is compensated, short deep cover the most dangerous threat downfield, girls and 4 will maintain the shape and stop and easy give-and-goes..
