Set up as shown, 5-man vertical stack should set up on the break-side side-line (so where the defence is forcing fore-hand the side-stack will set up on the left side-line). The arrows indicate the cutting pattern. Cuts should always begin from the back of the stack. The cutter should first cut deep (more or less vertically, aiming towards the centre of the end zone - NOT THE BACK FAR CONE). IF THE DEEP CUT IS NOT OPEN the cutter should cut under towards the opposite side-line. IF THE UNDER CUT ISN"T OPEN, the cutter should cut almost horizontally (slightly inclined towards the attacking end zone) towards the break-side where they can either receive the disc or clear back into the stack. Cuts should come one after each other and the stack must continue to move up the field. Once the thrower has thrown the disc they should rejoin the stack. The cuts should 'cascade' off one another
Back of the stack cuts deep
If the deep cut isn't open then the cutter cuts under towards the opposite sideline to receive the disc. When the first cutter cuts under the next in the queue should begin their deep cut
If the under cut isn't open the first cutter cuts to the break side, the second cutter cuts under to the open side and the third in the queue should begin their deep cut.
The constant cycle of cuts allows for multiple options and clear continuation
It is important that the handlers/throwers once the disc is thrown clear to the side-stack to avoid clogging space
