On a dead disc, we set up in our usual horizontal stack. In this scenario, the disc is in the middle, but this play can run from any disc position.
The play begins with the middle two cutters making cuts at the same time. The cutter on the open side (#6 shown here) cuts under, towards the break side. At the same time, the cutter on the break side (#5 here) cuts deep. The wing cutters hang out while this all develops.
If either one of those looks is open, then great and we can hit either one. If not, then the the cutter who went deep (#5) comes under to try and get a big gain on a throw. At the same time, the cutter who came under (#6) goes deep for another potential deep shot.
Ideally at this point we will have moved the disc downfield to any one of these looks. If not, then the wing cutters begin our horizontal flow and we go right into that. It starts with the #5 cutter clearing to the sideline and #6 taking one more under cut to try and get a gainer.
If it's not there then #6 clears, and the wings initiate ho-flo. Shown here it's #7 because there sideline was loaded first. So, #7 sets up her cut...
...And then comes under. Meanwhile, #4 gets ready to make her cut (either deep or under, depending on where the disc is at that point.) Shown here, #4 begins setting up her cut by starting to run deep, but at that time can either continue deep or come under into the space that #7 will make by clearing.
Shown here, #7 clears and #4 comes under to fill the space. #5 gets ready to cut next, positioning herself to go deep or to come underneath, depending on where the disc moves.
