Enter step description...
In a horizontal stack, 3 handlers (Blue 1,2,3) face 4 cutters (Blue 6,4,5,7) who are spread horizontally across the field. Blue 6 & 7 are wing players and often look to go deep for continuations. Blue 4 &5 are centres and will often look to create momentum in the middle of the field. Ho-stack cutters work in pairs to create space i.e. (4 & 5 might work together if the disc is in the centre, 6 & 4 if the disc is on the left sideline and 5 & 7 if the disc is on the right sideline)
H-Stack works when cutters work together to create and fill space. The pattern that follows is called a pepper-mill or diamond cutting. Primarily initiated when the disc is in the centre we can also play it on the side-line. The pattern is always initiated by the cutter on the open side.
The open side centre (Blue 5) fake-cuts to the open side (hard about 3-4 steps). At the same time the break-side centre (Blue 4) begins her deep cut
The open-side centre (blue 5) cuts almost horizontally to the break-side and to receive a break throw from the centre handler (blue 1). Break-side centre (Blue 4) continues their deep cut. The reset of the H-stack should look to move up the field
On hearing Blue 5 catch the disc (a clap when the disc is caught) Blue 4 can cut under to receive the disc. At the same time the break side wing (Blue 6) can begin cutting deep
Score
It is not always possible to throw the first break throw. If the break is not thrown the break side cutter must come under to receive the throw from the handler on the open side
Open-side centre (blue 5) fakes open side, break side centre (blue 4) begins deep cut
Open-side centre (blue 5) cuts to the break -side, Break side centre (blue 4) continues deep cut
The handler (Blue 1) indicates that the break-side centre needs to come under either by a 'pump fake' or verbally i.e. 'No' or 'Come under'. The breakside centre (blue 4) then cuts under. The openside centre (blue 5) begins deep cut
Deep throw to Blue 5 for score
