Blue takes the pull 5 yds in front of their goal line. Red gets down on the pull, R1 and R2 go into a 2-man-cup forcing backhand.
R3, R4, R5 are mids, R6 is short-deep, R7 is deep-deep. R3 takes the left wing, R4 has the middle zone, while R5 has the right wing. R6 keeps an extra presence in the middle to force the disc on the sideline. R7 shades to the force side and tries to "keep a cap on the offense" to keep it congested and keep lanes clogged.
Disc goes upline to B1, defense has to adjust
Defense has caught up due to the 5-4 advantage Red had downfield and a smaller cup. Once the cup is reestablished, a sideline trap is played with R7 taking away the entire deep down the left sideline.
B1 gets off a long swing to B3, cup has to chase across field. Defense adjusts (R7 moves to right side, R5 takes away the under, R4 clogs the lane)
Cup has caught up, sideline trap engages and a vicious cycle resumes of swing-swing-swing-riskyswing-swing-swing.
