Defender 2 is shutting off the break continuation. Defender 3 is giving a buffer, watching handler 2 and being ready for a swap.

Step 4

Handler 2 fakes the around, then dishes back to handler 3, immediately striking upfield.

Step 5

Defender 3 yells Roll, and drops back to shut off the strike. Defender 2 is coming in to put a mark on handler 3.

Step 6

The Roll and switch is complete.
