Disc is pulled.
Stack forms in the middle of the field. Catch (C) catches the disc.
C throws to hitch (H). Force is flick. 1 initiates offense by stepping into the lane and setting up the cut. The stack should take one step to the break side to avoid pick calls.
In this situation, our 1 cut is well-defended a not a viable option. What follows is how we do a middle-of-the-field reset.
Because we know that the fills run the break side offense, 1 should clear to the back of the stack to give the fill (F2) both in- and out-cut possibilities.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT WE DID AT PRACTICE: we want the dump throw from H to be thrown to space ACROSS the stack, not just because C is open. This will allow the break side offense to initiate just as the open side offense did -- the concept is similar to "switching fields" in soccer.
Fills (F1 and F2) are talking to each other to see who is in the best spot to get open on this swing cut. F2 times his/her in cut off the swing pass and F1 initiates his/her motion when the disc goes up to F2.
What happens most of the time (I think) is that F2 throws a long-ball to F1 for the score. We want this throw to the middle 1/3 of the field to allow F1 to run on to it and to give the thrower (F2) more room for error. GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!
