The rabbit is player 1. Players 2, 3, 4 are the wall. Players 5 and 6 are the mid fielders. Player 7 is the deep.
The deep's job is to be as far back as the furthest offensive player. If they are playing a team who does not have handlers with a deep huck, the deep can poach forward at their discretion. Since the deep is furthest back they can see the whole field and are in the best position for communicating and helping direct the team and call cutters.
If two players run deep,
The deep should call a mid back to help. We would rather give up a pass to offensive player 7 than a pass to offensive player 4.
If the disc moves far enough up the field. It is the deeps job to call "person" and help make sure everyone finds a mark.
It is the entire team's job to help call "person" once they hear the deep player call it. Make sure the people closest to the endzone are marked up first. The thrower should be marked up last.
The team should stick to "person" until the disc has been moved far enough out of the endzone. The deep should make the call to go back to zone.
