The rabbit is player 1. Players 2, 3, 4 are the wall. Players 5 and 6 are the mid fielders. Player 7 is the deep.
The rabbit's job is to follow the disc and mark up every thrower. The rabbit should decide at the beginning of each point if they are forcing home or away.
The basic job of the rabbit is to direct the disc to a sideline so that the team can set up a sideline trap. And to loudly call "up" when the disc is thrown so that his teammates know to look for the disc and knock it down.
This is the sideline trap. The rabbit should now mark to help prevent the dump back to the handler.
When the disc moves up...
The closest person in the wall will mark the thrower until the rabbit catches up.
The zone sets back up
In order to break the wall the offense will dump the disc back and swing it to the other side.
Dump. The rabbit should anticipate the swing, and run horizontally before moving vertically towards the dump.
Swing.
Factors when choosing a force: - team of new player force weak throw (forehand for right handed players) - wind (crosswind can either carry the disc, or make the disc wobbly) Sometimes it is ok to change force on an individual throw. - For individual throwers, force their weak hand especially when you have a sideline trap set up, or announce your force change to the team. - Force away from a strong handler
