  1. Step 1

    Standard Zone O Setup: 3 handlers, 3 mids, 1 deep.

  2. Step 2

    Alternate Zone O Setup: 2 handlers, 2 wings, 2 poppers, 1 deep.

  3. Step 3

    Blue 1 & 2 are the primary handlers. They maintain their position within the middle of the field. Typically, they provide an option for a dump or break force throw.

  4. Step 4

    Blue 3 & 4 can fill in as a far side handler on the wing.

  5. Step 5

    Blue 1 now has a swing pass to 3 as an option.

  6. Step 6

    But that pass may be taken away by the Zone D, or the handler might also want to exploit the weak side.

  7. Step 7

    Blue 1 also has 2 as a dump / break pass option.

  8. Step 8

    As the disc moves past the mark (Red 1), there is a window of opportunity to make a swing pass to Blue 4 who should time a cut to gain yards.

  9. Step 9

    Once the disc goes up field, Blue 5 and 6 should be looking for continuation cuts.

  10. Step 10

    Blue 6 reads off of 5 and looks for another continuation pass.

  11. Step 11

    If no continuation exists, reset to a handler.
