Before the pull, decide on a force. The downfield defenders will maintain that force on the cutters. With the disc centered, the handle defenders create a "V" formation, forcing the disc to the sides. The mark is straight up. The force is home (left) in this simulation.
When the disc swings to one side, then the handle on that side become the mark. They set up mostly straight-up, but angling slightly back towards the middle.
When the disc moves back towards the middle, then the V shape reengages.
When the disc moves to the away side, then the strategy is the same. The far handle defender becomes the mark forcing straight up and angled towards the middle.
If one of the handles moves in to make a give 'n go, D1 should move in to intercept and guard until the threat has passed on. D2 should shift over to compensate.
Let the handle pass and maintain handle zone. A downfield defender should pick up the streaking handle and let a cutter come in.
If the handles get it to a cutter, then you can either crumble and everyone adopts man defense with the force that was set prior to the point, or D3 and move up, flash into the throwing lane and force the cutter to dump it back to a handle right away. Rinse and Repeat.
If a cutter tries to come in to crash the zone and feed it to someone else, then maintain zone and keep tight man D with the Downfield defender. Or let the cutter get it and use D6 to cover a handle. Put pressure on the cutter to throw it.
Lockdown until they panic or reset, then reset with them.
If the disc is centered and one of the side handles tries to cut diagonally, the defender D1 or D3 with move in to intercept and stop the short toss.
Enter step description...
If the disc is on the side line, and they go for a long swing, then have the far defender look to swoop in and steal it.
Steal!!!!!!!!!
