Step by step 10 steps
  1. Step 1

Force is indicated by the arrow below, we will assume it is flick. Blue is on offense, Red is putting a Zone defense out. 1, 2, and 3 are part of the "cup"- their main priority to to not let off shows between any of them or to the break side, this is accomplished by each person in the cup being held responsible for what is to the left of them(1 would be worried about the around's and dumps, 2 is worried about the IO break throw going between 1 and 2 in the cup, 3 is concerned with the "crashing" of the cup and throws up field between them and the mid fielder) M is the Mid Mid. They are concerned with throws going up the middle of the field as well as communicating with the cup. D is the deep. They are the watchers of the whole field. The communicate with the Mid Mid and wings. The two W's on the sidelines are the wings. The do not let someone like the wing on offense get an up field throw. Ass always to the sideline so you can see who you have to guard and nobody can sneak up on you. you Never become part of the cup!!!

  2. Step 2

Disc is swung to the force side. The cup moves as a unit off of 1.

  3. Step 3

Notice how when the disc is on the force side the whole cup shifts. This is correct.

  4. Step 4

as opposed to standard positioning. THIS IS INCORRECT. (why is this less advantageous?)

    PPWWHHH123MWWD
  5. Step 5

CORRECT position of the cup same as step 3. * notice how the breakside wing "pinches in"

  6. Step 6

aw no! cup has been BROKEN! cup will still move in a unit with the acceptation of 2 in this case. 2 has permission to haul it to cut off the full swing(why?).

  7. Step 7

    The cup reforms.

  8. Step 8

disc all the way on the breakside. Notice the shift in position of the cup. It is flatter.

    PPWWHHH123MWWD
  9. Step 9

as opposed to regular positioning as if the disc were in the middle. INCORRECT. look how little of the field the cup is taking away!:(

  10. Step 10

back to correct break side positioning. Notice the force side wing pinch in. Why might that be?
