  1. Step 1

  5. Step 5

Side Cup 4 will put a straight up mark on the handler and Olive will shut down the handler throw

  6. Step 6

Olive does not follow the middle hander but rather blocks the handler swing into the middle

  7. Step 7

This forces handler 3 to make a bad cross-field throw to handler 1

  8. Step 8

Because the olive is the closest to the disc they will put a mark on the thrower while the cup sprints to reset. The mid cup will take the place of the Olive now to block the handler swing. The wing will also help to shut down the quick up-line pass.

  9. Step 9

The Olive and the mid-cup have now swapped positions on the field temporarily.

  10. Step 10

This often forces the handlers to make backwards throws

    12345671234567
  11. Step 11

The cup will follow the disc in and because it is close to the sideline the side cup will still keep the mark

    12345671234567
  12. Step 12

It is possible that the handlers will get another short throw off to the center of the field

  13. Step 13

In this case the Olive will start marking again in the middle as usual and will YELL this out to the other members of the cup so that they know that he is on the disc and we are using a 4-man cup again.
