ok so we are set up like a normal horizontal stack
disc gets thrown to a cutter on the open side, sorta close to sideline
thrower looks for continuation but doesn't see anything open, middle and breakside handlers advance, but openside handler hangs back and leaks toward the middle to avoid crowding the thrower
thrower makes eye contact with the middle handler (#2), who initiates their upline cut. the openside handler moves toward the middle (careful not to crowd the space around the thrower), and the other middle cutter clears their unsuccessful in-cut. let's say we have a successful up-line throw
players reset...openside handler is now middle handler. the player who threw the upline moves into the inactive middle cutter position, and the cutters on the openside (#5 and 7) are activated
ok resetting a bit here to show what happens if the upline throw doesn't go off
so the thrower doesn't see much for a continuation
thrower makes eye contact with the middle handler (#2), who initiates their upline cut. the openside handler moves toward the middle (careful not to crowd the space around the thrower), and the other middle cutter clears their unsuccessful in-cut. this time we'll look at what happens if the upline throw doesn't happen
now the handler who was hanging back and leaking toward the middle is activated and fakes the upline so their defender bites on it
and comes back for a break around.
Ideally, we get some movement of the disc toward the break side here even though we lose yards. (if the mark on the disc is aggressively no dump and the break doesn't get thrown, the handler can then attempt to go upline) after throwing the break, the cutter should clear to the break side and the handler who orginaly cut upline can come back
this creates space for the next in cut
