Our opponents (blue) have the disc. We (red) are in a basic backhand force.
The disc swings to the sideline we're forcing to. We can now initiate a sideline trap, called "hardest", where the goal is to force the offense to make the hardest throw possible.
The person on the disc (1) shifts their mark to straight up. The person covering the dump (2) shifts their position to force the cutter up-field
Our closest down-field defenders (4, 5, and 6) shift to take away the cut toward the disc
Our deepest defender (7) anticipates the huck or hammer over the top
The offense is forced into a difficult dump throw (short distance, leading, inside-out forehand). The mark (1) should be able to get their hand or foot out to increase the throw's difficulty. Meanwhile, our defender (2) should be able to make a play on the leading throw.
